This is such a great place to eat and just vibe, very eclectic. Being from Texas and speaking very little Spanish, the lady at the front and the owner took time with me and made me feel like I was home, like if I was in my Auntie’s kitchen eating good food and having a ton of good fun. I could eat a dozen and still want more! But the real showstopper? The mofongo de churrasco. The steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender, and the sauces? Flavor bomb! The plantains were the cherry on top — so good! I also tried the chicken nachotones, which were solid, but honestly... go for the empanadas instead. You won’t regret it! We just had a large catering order from Merengue House for a special family event. The food was delivered on time and hot, and it was so, so delicious. Our guests loved it and came back for seconds.
First time eating here for take out...I didn't even know they served food I thought it was just a night bar. The absolute best Dominican food in Delaware. I walked in the customer were happy, the staff gave a real home feel. The woman that served my platter was very generous with the portions and gave me extra sauce on my rice. Beautiful establishment. I wish I had photos to share but the meal had no chance in making it before the message....absolutely amazing
Myra and her crew catered my entire wedding. We had empanadas and rellenas de papa for our cocktail hour along with a cheese and fruit board. We had several choices for meat and arroz con gandules and a few other items. Their presentation and service was phenomenal. Most of all the food was delicious! Everybody complimented the food. The food is authentic and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service efficient. I have gone on different days of the week and at different times, and have never had to wait long for my meal.
If you're looking for a true dominican, authentic restaurant and atmosphere, this is the place from the restaurant on the lower level to the nightclub on the top floor. My dominican, queen wife, highly approves of all the food and we frequent the nightclub on the second floor several times each month. You will never be disappointed with the quality of their food. Add a great music selection.
